The 2012 "It's a Breast Thing" Event

Eagle Eye Golf Club was again the beautiful setting for the 2012 It’s a Breast Thing Event. Tuesday October 2nd was a beautiful evening and the 400 people in attendance all loved visiting the 12 exhibitors for the most up to date information & voting on the 30 creatively decorated bras. The food table as well as the complimentary wine and beer were enjoyed by all! All breast cancer survivors attending were given rose corsages to wear.

The program for this year, The Importance of Early Detection, was lead by Dr. LaKeeya Tucker and was a huge success. The panelists were: Dr. Harvey Bumpers, Dr. Suzanne Hanses, Dr. Timothy Mckenna, Dr. David Anderson, Sharon Cosgrove (nurse navigator at Sparrow), Dr. George Poletes, MSU Lymphedema Clinic and their Clinicians, Mary Smania NP, and Dr. Karen Ching. A big thank you to the panel as well as the physicians in attendance for sharing so much valuable information.

We would like to extend a thank you, as well, to all our exhibitors, bra decorators, our Event Coordinator, Jennifer Hahn, and all the very special volunteers for giving so graciously of their time for It’s a Breast Thing 2012! We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday October 1st, 2013 from 5-8 at Eagle Eye Golf Club for the next event
